Character name: Richie Ryan
Series: Highlander: The Series
Age: 22 (physically 19 forever)
From when? BEFORE ARCHANGEL [at what point in their timeline were they brought aboard the Barge? Inmates must have just died or were about to die.]
Inmate/Warden: Warden. Richie has spunk, stubbornness and an amazing capacity for growth if given enough structure to do so. He may initially be something of a failWarden until he figures out the ropes and how-tos of the job, in which case he will likely begin a rapid climb in competency. He also has a talent for worming his way into your heart, which could be a good quality depending on the type of inmate he ends up watching over.
In exchange for his service on the Barge, Richie will be working toward the revival (or never-dying-in-the-first-place) of Tessa Noël. She was a very good friend of his, a sister- and mother-figure both, who died in the same incident as Richie... only she did not come back as Richie did.
Item: Walkman?? MAYBE? [Wardens Only -- What Gives you Your Information While Here? Examples -- a compass, a book, a palm pilot, a tarot card, etc.]
Abilities/powers: Richie is immortal. Having died his first death at nineteen years old, that is the physical age he will remain at for the rest of his (un)natural life. General rules of thumb for immortality are that you can die, but it isn't permanent — most wake up within hours or minutes of their death, depending on severity of the killing blow, and their own age and experience. Regular injuries heal just as quickly, and immortals do not get sick. Permanent death only occurs upon decapitation. If another immortal does the deed, then the Barge would be treated to a fantaticly destructive light show!
Immortals have the ability to sense that they are in the vicinity of each other (called "the buzz" in fandom), although it's impossible to tell where or how many immortals are being sensed. This might possibly carry over to other immortal-type beings on the Barge depending on circumstance and player consent, etc. as canon doesn't really have any other supernatural entities for them to theoretically sense.
They may or may not have a literal hammerspace in their coats/jackets/sweaters/shirts/whatever where they hide their swords. We generally don't speak the mechanics of how that happens. It just does, okay? Speaking of swords: Richie is an accomplished swordsman, capable of keeping up with other immortals centuries older than he is thanks to training with one of the best. On the other hand, he falls on the wrong side of being too cocky and is absolutely not invincible. Just very hard to permanently kill. He currently carries with him a hand-and-a-half broadsword (longsword) that he will bring, hidden in his coat, upon entrance to the Barge. To compliment his sword-fighting, Richie is educated in hand-to-hand combat as well.
Being a former streetrat petty thief, Richie knows various methods of B&E and theft. This includes: hot-wiring and stripping vehicles; picking locks; and getting past basic security systems. He can drive a motorcycle and is quite good at racing them.
Personality: There are two things you need to know in order to understand Richie Ryan. The first thing is that he is young.
The second thing you need to know is that he is passionate.
[Please write at least 5 solid paragraphs. The more depth and detail, the better! Keep in mind that other players will use this section to determine if your character is a good match for potential Warden/Inmate pairings, and this may be their first exposure to your character. You might also include how they are going to react to the Barge. Please write this in complete sentences, and in paragraphs as you would in any normal area of the application. Do not divide into sections and label each with adjectives. This makes it seem choppy and harder to read.]
